About Random Acts of Kindness

WHAT IS The RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS Project

Illustrated umbrella in front of clouds and rain. The umbrella says, The Random Acts of Kindness Project.

Random Acts of Kindness is a project created by Ergo Arts Theatre to bring some joy and opportunity to the Canadian theatre community. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit those working in live entertainment especially hard. This initiative aims to help emerging Canadian theatre artists financially while encouraging them to stay creative and positive, despite not having places to perform their craft. Artists are asked to submit a proposal of an act of kindness they can share that is creative and purposeful, using any art form (e.g. creating arts-centred mental or physical health care packages for colleagues working from home or for someone in the community; designing a zine filled with compliments and admirations for a friend; composing a song and sending it as a gift to someone who has had a positive impact in their life, etc.)
